Corona update: Almost all dishes to pick up! Definitely try it out! Baby Calmar, insider tip! Simply a cozy pub, a great beer garden and at the same time a very good restaurant with a wide range of home-style cuisine. Mainly Greek specialties but also Swabian dishes. My tip: the salad with strips of chicken breast, fried vegetables and a very tasty salad dressing. I also like to watch the VfB games there, and when the game goes well, the atmosphere is great. If you want to eat in the evening, you should make a reservation - the shop likes to be full.
The two chefs are great, always relaxed, great food from Swabian to Greek cuisine, everything to be recommended
Delicious Greek food!
Nice beer garden but this business changes almost every month. Chef, the food is not that good and you have to wait a long time for servic
Our local bar, the waitress knows our orders, we'll be back
At the beginning of August I met a friend in the beer garden of this restaurant on a Friday evening. We ate several drinks and the ambience was actually quite okay. At five minutes after midnight we each ordered a beer and received it quickly. The waitress came five minutes later and was already collecting money. Then she said in a very friendly manner that we would like to leave the beer garden, but that we could finish our beer. We thought we still had some time because the beer garden is open until 1 a.m. according to the website. It was half a liter and I'm not someone who drinks my beer every evening. Before that, I drank Cola, and my friend also drank some non-alcoholic drinks. At 12:15 the boss came and said we had to leave the beer garden immediately. It wasn't a polite request, it was an order with an appropriate tone. They would have closed. I then made him aware of the opening times on the homepage. The boss doubted that the times would be on the homepage and accused me of lying. It's October 26th today and the opening times are still on the homepage. The boss was getting more and more angry and so I had no choice but to pull the glass away before it becomes physical. He also said that the Schwabengarten in Leinfelden would not be open any longer. It's also open until 1 a.m., but what the heck. The boss's behavior was absolutely unprofessional. You don't speak to your customers in that tone. You could have left it at a friendly request and justified it by saying that you close earlier because not much is going on. Shortly before we were kicked out, the last guests left. I don't know why the boss was suddenly in such a hurry. I would have understood if we had been drunk and made a noise, but we weren't because we hadn't had any alcoholic drinks before. In any case, this evening ended very abruptly. I am writing the review now because I am still concerned with this process. Actually, I don't feel like doing it, but others are allowed to know what to expect there. We will certainly not go there again. In the last few years I have been to this restaurant several times to eat and drink. But I don't let myself be treated like that. The two stars stand for the ambience. Without staff you could have felt comfortable. The next time it's actually in the Schwabengarten.
Very tasty ?
Very tasty and good food, friendly service and lots to discover.
The food is delicious. Operation can be slow at times.
Very nice to sit outside in the middle of it all. Food is okay, prices are pleasant
Highly recommended. Very good offer. Fast service ..... large portions and a delicious large salad. We would love to come back.
The restaurant Anno 1897 has a very nice beer garden. The food ranges from home-style to international. In the beer garden you can also have a good chat in the evening. The conditions were very friendly and accommodating. The ambience is very pleasant, at least in the beer garden. You sit under several chestnuts. The price-performance ratio is good.
Café / restaurant with a fairly extensive menu, good and tasty food.
We were there for dinner at the beginning of August - largely quality, quantity and price-performance ratio quite okay except for the "vegetable variation" at a price of € 9.50. This is just a small starter that you absolutely cannot fill up and despite complaints we even had to pay the extra bread at a price of 1.90 € for the few slices of baguette. And with the small amount, there is no question of "variation"! Those in charge reacted to the criticism only with disinterest and arrogance.
The food was really delicious, but the waiting time of over 1 hour is unfortunately not nice. Pity! We were really hungry when we only got the food at half past two in the afternoon, even though we were there shortly after 1pm.
Very tasty, beautiful outside area, beautiful beer garden, very nice staff and in the end, always happy.
One of the best Greek restaurants in Stuttgart. I always order the starters and a lot of tsiziki. The giros is also highly recommended and the stake.
Were outside ("beer garden"). At first glance it looks nice. The menu is very rich, the prices are just acceptable. Friendliness of the staff could be better. No care was taken to ensure that we "register, enter" or whether we "unsubscribe". The small toilet was very angular, so we didn't eat it.
Very nice restaurant, with a beer garden and a large selection of food and drinks and friendly staff.
A really exceptional place. Good food, the porting is great and the preparation is fresh and delicious. Price performance is right and the beer garden is very large, beautifully designed and tidy. Staff very friendly
Very nice Greek-Swabian restaurant with a great beer garden. No star cuisine, but worth the price.
Too much smoke in the biergarten.
Good and Tasty. Took first a creamy tomato soup and follow with a Schnitzel and local creamed nudle. Food was excellent.
Great place with delicious foods.
Great food.
Nice garden. Big portions. The food is well suited to German taste. Tzatziki has way too much garlic. Meat is good. Flammkuchen is your best pick.
Relaxed rather rustic atmosphere. Nice service, very short waiting times. Bund mixed food selection from Swabian to Greek. The taste of the food is okay, but you can not expect any culinary wonders, which should not be the case with the prices. These are very fair or sometimes quite cheap. We paid for two with appetizer, main course, dessert and several drinks only about 60 €.
Really enjoyed the food, beer and service was excellent. Very friendly to English speakers including menu.
Super
lunch time - reasonable prices
Very good food and friendly, hospitable service.
Very nice and cozy place. Nice mix of German and Greek food
TOP
This is a wonderful place to sit out or inside. The staff is great!
Food and the price is okay
Super service from nice staff
Good food and interesting beer selection. Rather good for Möhringen
Gyros, beer and all that in a beer garden...come on, don't waste time and visit. Only bad thing is having to walk through the smoking section which may bother non smokers
* You can go to Anno 1897, if you want: 1. to be treated like a beggar not as a customer of restaurant, please go to non smoking hall of Anno 1897 and talk to with the waitress with short dark hair. She was very unkind and unfriendly. 2. to give an order without right that you can order what you want to, without time to decide. If you ask time to decide menu, the waitress becomes angry. 3. to play menu hunt (not treasure hunt) in a restaurant without waitress. If you find the menu, a waitress with short dark hair will suddenly comes up and shout to you "Was ist denn los?" But she never comes to you to take an order. It was much better to have Friday night dinner in KFC where the staffs are not nervous. *Situation : Even though we waited 20 minutes in the hall, nobody came to take an order. So we had to ask a waiter in a bar (also not easy to find him), outside of the hall, and asked some food, using menu that we found for ourselves. And then we waited to have dinner, a waitress with dark short hair suddenly came to us. She said, although we had ordered, we have to make an order again because she is kind of a master of the hall area. So we explained that we already talk to with other waiter because we couldn't find anybody for 20 minutes in the hall. Without saying Sorry or Es tut mir leid, she just emphasized that she has 'only two arms and two feet' that are not enough to handle the hall. Even though her attitude and speech were very rude, we gave an order again. The waitress said one menu cannot be with sauce that I ordered. So we asked her that we need a few minutes to decide menu. She drew a long breath and didn't welcome. She looked like quite disappointed and angry. We felt that we don't have right to order what I want to eat. That's why we had to get out of store and she shouted to us "Danke schoen, tscuess" very loudly, over and over, as if she was happy that we leave the restaurant. I guess she wants to take an order only when she wants to, what she wants to.
Greek restaurant and bar right next to the Moehringen U-Bahn stop, this place really should get two separate reviews. As a restaurant it was pretty bleh. Portions are huge but the food itself is pretty mediocre. I had a gyro, and found the meat to be fatty and a little under seasoned. My husband had a calamari salad and the calamari was pretty rubbery and unappealing. But it's got a great bar (which is separated from the restaurant area by a glass wall, so the bar does allow smoking, fair warning) where friendly waitstaff serve large portions of the local brew for very cheap prices. Lots of locals, this definitely had an after-work crew vibe to it, in a good way. It's cozy and warm.
Great bang for buck! Portions huge. Service is bordering on average especially if you sit in the non-smoking area because i get the feeling that the staff hardly venture there. a lot of regular customers so i suppose that speakers for itself!
